Adults may also benefit from orthognathic surgery should their jaws be disproportionate in size. The Doctor will advise you if he feels surgery will benefit your bite or enhance facial cosmetics. Adults also may have experienced some breakdown or loss of their teeth and bone support and may need periodontal treatment before, during, and/or after orthodontic treatment.
